The friendly staff, delicious food, and unique dining experiences like table-side trout filleting are frequently highlighted. While the rooms are described as clean and nice, the primary draw remains the unparalleled scenery and peaceful atmosphere.
"What an absolutely beautiful place. Even if you don't get a reservation for lunch or dinner still go. You can grab something from the small café and sit out back and enjoy the amazing views. The entire property is pet friendly and there were tons of very well behaved dogs there. Also, the frying pan tower is right up the road with only a 1.5 mile round trip to a spectacular view. The entire area is gorgeous and very close to the highest point on the blue ridge parkway. This Inn is a must see !!!!!!"

"We didn't actually stay at the Inn; we were camping across the street, but saw the rooms, and they were clean and nice. We ate at the restaurant, shopped in the gift shop, hiked a trail that starts in their lot, and had a glass of wine at their adorable wine bar. Every staff member we came in contact with was fantastic! They were all polite, informative, and really took pride in whatever work they were doing. The views from the patio and deck are just stunning. We will definitely go back next Fall."
Caroline Ferguson
"The restaurant was great with a welcoming hostess, terrific servers Mark and Daniel, and tasty food. Appetizers to recommend are the corn fritters & fried green tomatoes. Entrees we enjoyed were the pork chop, trout, and pasta dish. Dessert items were very good, especially the apple pie, blackberry cobbler, and chocolate cake. Views are awesome and so was the attached observation deck. You can also spend additional time on the Adirondack chairs on the lawn. Must make reservations in advance at peak tourism times."
