"We and my little family absolutely love Cane river lake!! We spend as much time as possible there. You can find excitement fishing, tubing, ski'ing, swimming or basically any other water sport you can think of or going and exploring the area. which is jam packed with history and heritage every where you look!! Or even just sitting on the porch swing over looking the lake just watching the day pass along with the critters and the people enjoying their time in the water, eventually enjoying a breath taking sunset.
The whole entire area is full of so much to do and see! there's history, Adventure and excitement literally around every bend!! Take the boat or a drive right on over to natchitoches for some shopping, great food or amazing history tours, and a vibrant nightlife. Or during the holidays what's better than seeing the Christmas lights reflecting off of the water?! And the fireworks every weekend? Di i really need to go on about the Christmas festival every year?! There's absolutely always something (or absolutely nothing if you choose) going on! Even right on the water.. in-between the Commissary and their tasty food and intoxicating drinks and Melrose plantation with its rich and interesting history, you can have a mini vacation without ever even having to leave the area! Its always nice top the day off with a boat ride at dusk or warm camp fire and s'mores.. I am so blessed to be able to spend as much time as I can there on Cane River lake, its truly one of God's most glorious places in this entire country!! My only problem? That I don't get to live there!"
