Reviews Summary

Vogel State Park is consistently praised as one of Georgia's most beautiful state parks, offering a perfect blend of natural scenery and recreational activities. Visitors rave about the well-maintained campgrounds, comfortable cabins, and the friendly, attentive staff. It's a highly recommended destination for families, pet owners, and nature lovers seeking a peaceful mountain getaway.

"This is definitely one of the most beautiful state parks in Georgia! I’ve been coming here every year for 39 years. The camping and the cabins are amazing. Playground, beach, hiking trails and gift shop are great for the whole family. The staff is extremely sweet and attentive. Especially Jack, Robbie, Vickie and Beckie who help make our stay magical every year. We appreciate all that you do to keep this park in such great shape!"

"One of my absolute favorite places to spend a vacation. Camping sites go up and down a mountain side with streams flowing in between them. Lots of shade and beautiful trees towering above. Though the sites aren’t far from each other, the trees add a lot of privacy and there are still wooded areas between sites to walk around in. There are hiking trails everywhere and it’s the most beautiful campground I’ve ever stayed in. I truly feel like I’m getting away from it all when I stay here. I’ve both camped and stayed in a cabin and recommend both methods. The cabins are spacious, clean, and very comfortable. There’s also a playground for kids that is centered in a large field, keeping the noise to a minimum. The entire campground is very dog friendly and my reactive (and trained!) dog enjoyed being able to walk around without encountering another dog due to how spacious it is. The town of Helen is nearby and a perfect way to spend a day or two shopping, floating down the river that runs through the town, and eating at any one of the great restaurants. Truly cannot recommend Vogel State Park enough. Stay a week here, you won’t regret it and it will be on your list of top ten places to go."

"This State Park has everything one could ask for. Whether you are camping, staying in a cabin, hiking trails, paddling or swimming on the lake, using the many picnic areas, playground or group pavilions you can have a delightful experience! The new Visitor's Center is very well done. This is one of my favourite State Parks in GA!"
