"A little bit of paradise in the middle of Hoover. Nice sidewalk for walking all the way around. Making the traffic 1 way a few years ago allows for a bike lane. Watching the Mallards, Teals, Muscovy's, and the Swans swim around is serene. Small area for picnics and a pier spans over the water toward the middle island. Great asset for the community!"

"Star lake is in my neighborhood and I absolutely love that we have this park accessible to everyone that lives in green valley. I often walk late at night and I never feel unsafe. It’s a great place to get exercise, bring your dog for a walk, or watch the ducks . I will say that the ducks go to the bathroom everywhere so I have shoes that are for the duck pond only and I take them off before I get back in my car and put them in a plastic bag until I can wash them off outside my house. It’s nature and you can’t be upset with the ducks, you just need to have to plan your shoes! They also have a book box which I think is fantastic and I have gotten and given books to the book box many times. It’s a great way to rotate your reading materials! I love star lake and it’s really pretty at night when the moon is bright you can get some good photos!"
