We golfed this based on website descriptions of a premium resort course. Very disappointing with burnt out fairways or snow mold, not sure.
Skeleton staff, poor tee boxes at beginning of season?, driving range not open, empty ball washers, etc.
you can find much better golf in the area for half the price. I told this to the young kid running the pro shop. He couldn’t care less and told me that we got a deal because fees go to $165 soon. No way you should pay that. Much better choices in the area such as Gaylord, Grand Traverse, Grandview, etc.

"My wife and I booked a round at this beautiful course. The course was very well maintained. The greens were huge with a lot of undulation. Bunkers were in great shape. Service was exceptional. We played the front nine in under 2 hours. However, when we got to the turn there were 4 groups on number 10. Because of the time of day (6 pm), we decided to play the front nine again so we could at least get the full 18 in. Price was very reasonable…$124 USD for 2 golfers and a shared cart."

"We played Hawk's Eye 18Sep24 and were very impressed. Hawks Eye is the best Shanty Creek course in my opinion and right there with any public course in Michigan. I've played all the Treetops and Boyne courses and this one was just as good if not better. The course was in great shape and very fun to play. Choosing the correct tee box is very important as this course is a challenge. Book Hawk's Eye and you will not be disappointed."
