"This place is a great destination for outdoor lovers, wildlife viewers, adventure seekers, hikers, campers, or even dog mushers. Small fee to park or you can buy the annual pass. Small animal exhibit inside with some souvenirs and snacks. Take the trails that lead you into the nature center but bring bear bells, bear spray, and a 10mm or higher. During the salmon runs you can run into brown bears. Be sure to check the recent bear activity signs before heading in. They update the signs for trail closures as well.
