I asked her my question and she said I cant help you. I told her i have court this week. She said hatefully its closed all week I can't help you. I said I have court at 9 this Thursday she said you can come if you want real smart allic way. The whole conversation she had a poor attitude. Me and my husband are tax payers we don't get any help from the goverment. We don't drink or do drugs. We help our comunity allot. I dont deserve to be talked at like a nobody. "Its a courthouse that is located in Abingdon, Va. Which is in Washington Co. It has seveal courtrooms in which a person will have their trial depending on what kind of case they have such as, minor traffic violations as well as criminal charges. I feel as though the few times I have had to appear in these said courtrooms that I have always been treated fairly n in a professional manor from all employees of the court. They have went above and beyond the requirements to work with my violations at hand. I have recently been given a revised plea agreement for some serious charges n was required to only do five days of my 5 yr sentence. Thanks again to Josh Cumbow for your thoughtfulness and sincerely. Your kindness is very much appreciated from me n close family. Mostly I appreciate the fact that you took the time to look into my case n offer me a second plea agreement. I can't even begin to express the gratitude for your office and especially you. Thanks again and thumbs up for all of washington courthouse employees."

Understanding Court Operations
Navigating the court system can be daunting, and experiences at the courthouse vary. While some individuals report being treated fairly and professionally, with staff going 'above and beyond' to work with their cases, others have encountered significant challenges. These include difficulties in reaching staff by phone, unhelpful responses, and instances of perceived rudeness from certain employees, particularly security personnel.
It's crucial for visitors to be well-prepared. This includes having all necessary documentation organized and understanding the purpose of their visit. Being patient and maintaining a professional demeanor, regardless of the interactions, is often advised. For those unfamiliar with court procedures, seeking clarification from the Clerk of Court's office or consulting legal counsel beforehand can greatly improve the experience.
Visitor Experiences and Etiquette
When visiting the courthouse, adhering to proper etiquette is essential. This includes dressing respectfully, as casual attire may not be permitted or appreciated. Being punctual for scheduled hearings is also critical. If you need to make payments, confirm the accepted methods beforehand, as cash, checks, or cards may have different procedures.
For those needing assistance or information, calling ahead is consistently recommended. However, be prepared for potential busy signals or unreturned voicemails, as some reviewers have struggled to connect with the right person. Having specific questions ready and a case number if applicable can help streamline any communication you do manage to establish.
