"The hotel room was mediocre, at best. The room was basically a poorly gentrified Motel 6. I was expecting something more colonial or historically accurate considering their history. EXTREMELY overpriced for what you get.
-The Painted over peeling wallpaper says a lot. I wonder what's under it?
-The comforter smelled like a gym locker room. So, definitely take it off before you bed down or bring your own.
The Spa was nice and the restaurant was descent.
And, please don't fall for that "haunted" Room 403 with the "phantom bloodstain".
It's tourist nonsense.
*NOTE: They DO NOT have any elevators or access for disabled or handicapped persons to the upstairs floors. So, if you're in a wheelchair/mobility scooter or have problems climbing stairs, you may wish to reconsider."

"For the price of my room, I would’ve expected better amenities. The bed linen was clean and soft. The drapes look like they came from big lots. I had no toiletries added to my room. It would’ve been nice to have a coffee maker in my room. Everything looks like it needs to be updated. There was not enough room to put your toiletries around the pedestal sink. The main rooms look tired. It’s a shame because this is a beautiful building and it needs a complete update and refresher.
The lighting is poor in the main rooms and bedrooms. The furniture and accessories look like they have been purchased at a discount store. The breakfast was excellent and the staff serving was wonderful."
