What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Polkemmet Country Park for its excellent playground and scenic walking trails, making it a top choice for families and dog owners. While the park offers a great natural escape with unique attractions like the Scottish Owl Centre, some find the playground can become overwhelmingly busy during peak times.
"These are just 3 photos out of the many plus pictures/videos I have of these absolute beautiful and majestic birds. Me and my husband love owls, we have visited centers including one in our home state of FL, the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey and you learn so much about each type of Owl. How they hunt, what the colors of the eyes mean in terms of hunting in the dawn and dusk etc. if you love birds just as much as us especially owls I would 100% recommend the Owl Center here at Polkemmet Country Park. While we were only fascinated with the center they do have a cafe, a playground, a golf course for those golf lovers and walking paths. Just many of the things all of us nature lovers enjoy!"

"Polkemmet Country Park is a fantastic destination for a family day out. The park offers a great mix of open green spaces, peaceful woodland walks, and a fantastic, well equipped play area that will keep children entertained for hours.
The highlight is undoubtedly the unique "Mine Train" themed playground, which is imaginative and spacious. The walks along the River Almond are scenic and gentle, perfect for a stroll with a dog. While the historic house is no longer there, the stable block cafe provides a nice spot for a coffee and a snack.
Facilities are good with ample parking and clean toilets. Whether you're looking for a brisk walk, a picnic spot, or a place for the kids to burn off energy, Polkemmet Country Park delivers. Well worth a visit!"

"Great park, fab playground for a range of ages 3-33, good set of benches to park and have a rest, most also have metal plating to allow for disposable BBQs table top which is a nice touch. Lots of bins, and kept pretty clean. Great nature walks with Forrest, river and lots of greenery. On a sunny day, or even when it's a bit dreich, a nice place to stretch the legs and get outdoors .
Owl centre on site with cafe and toilet facilities during opening hours too."
