"As one of the more complete castles to be toured on the Historic Scotland Explorer Pass, this one is a lot of fun to wander. The courtyard, the tower, the dock all give wonderful views of the Firth, and provide some grand photos of a medieval castle. I've been here twice now with two different groups, and both have thoroughly enjoyed exploring and learning. If you're thorough, plan on 1-2 hours, but it can easily be walked through in 45 minutes. There is limited parking, but we've been able to park on grounds both times. They also have a gift shop and clean restrooms, with ice cream as a bonus (if it's not too cold on that day)."
