"What a spectacular area to walk in, with the most amazing surrounds of cliff tops and see and fields.of.flowers. Parking is available opposite The Anchor Inn. It costs £8. However, you get a £2 deduction if you buy food at the Anchor Inn. Well worth it for a bite and a beer after viewing The Cap and Thorncombe beacon. The latter is the easier of the 2 walks. Mostly grass, I walked bare foot. It was lush and soft. Quite steep, but plenty places to.stop.and admire the beach, sea, cliffs and fields."

"We walked past here doing part of the south coastal path (west bay to golden cap) cloudy day but still lovely to see the views and have hike up. Not a bad hill to walk up, we didn't find it difficult at all. Can get blowy on the top and no shelter from the rain if it comes in."
