What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the RNLI Torbay Lifeboat Station for its informative tours and the dedication of its volunteers. The opportunity to see the impressive lifeboats and support a crucial lifesaving charity is a major draw. While direct boat tours can be limited, the overall experience is highly recommended for its educational value and the chance to contribute to a worthy cause.
"Carol gave myself and my husband a tour this morning, so very informative, the boats carry so much on board and all the crew have a role to play. The work they all do not just on shouts but maintaining the boats and equipment to a very high standard is second to none. The engines were pristine. I thoroughly recommend a visit and donate as much as you can to this worthy cause. We will be returning to Brixham as often as we can. We met some of the crew too which was an added bonus."
Maggie McNicol
"Excellent RNLI base. Friendly and informative staff. Unfortunately no tours of the boats due to COVID 19 but still nice to have a nosey around."
Ruth Beechey
"Lovely walk to the station, and the 2 volunteers who man the shop were lovely! Bought some souvenirs because we like to donate to such a good cause. My husband was happy he got to see it as we have watched them on the TV for along time. Reminds you how grateful you are that you not seeing a family or friend needing thier services. Definitely worth stopping in if only to make a donation!"
