What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Brixham's cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and abundance of food options, especially seafood. The picturesque harbour and breakwater walks are highlights. However, the town's hilly terrain can be a challenge for those with mobility issues.
"Nice clean. People friendly plenty of food restaurants etc.
There is alot of hills and steps. So if you struggle walking maybe stay on the marina itself. Surrounded areas are a challenge to some..
I'd recommend and revisited. Good old English Town. Love it"
Ben Cain
"Long walk on the breakwater. You can see lots of boats from the breakwater and the history of the breakwater is given. If you are lucky you might see seals/dolphins/porpoises, we were lucky to see a seal but knew there were dolphins in the bay. Can be a bit windy when you reach the end of the breakwater by the harbour entrance but it is much less sheltered."
Anne Keen
"So clean and tidy, but watch out for seagulls swooping down and stealing your food! Ha! Even with enclosed steal bins they are cheeky 😜
My 14 year old grandson said to me 'I've never seen anywhere as clean and tidy as this, I've not seen one bit of littler since we've been here'! So that's saying something
It's great for shops, especially charity shops - there's loads, and many places to eat no matter what your dietary requirements.
Some great coastal walks and not far from some lovely coves and rock pools"
