The vast artillery collection and atmospheric underground tunnels are major highlights, with many appreciating the well-maintained grounds and helpful staff. "We were extremely lucky to stumble upon this place and stopped to have a look round the free museum and be able to see the walking with giants display.
It is very thought provoking and some of the stories honestly bought a tear to my eye, letters from young men in the trenches to their mum and dad back home, poems and mothers and wives writing about the loss of their loved ones.
The museum is fascinating and has lots to see and is great to look round, there is also access to the tunnels which are great to look round.
It is well worth a visit and the Walking with giants display is there till January, as I said before it is free to get in you just pay £3 for parking.
There is a cafe there and a small shop.
Excellent"

"Recently visited the Standing with Giants there. We had a fantastic day there. We went with a coach company with the entrance in booking. Well worth a visit. But I believe you have to book in advance to gain entrance. It's a limited display, so check before going."
Robert Bailey
"We visited to see “Standing With Giants”. What an experience - brings home what our troops sacrificed for us.
Fort Nelson - is now on my places to visit so I can take in the British Military History.
The Cafe is small but good fare.
The shop again is small but well stocked."
