What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise One Tree Hill for its stunning panoramic views and beautiful woodland walks, especially during bluebell season. The free parking and dog-friendly nature are also highlights. Some note that paths can be muddy and the car park is small.
"A lovely far reaching view over miles of the weald's green and pleasant countryside and the nearby town of Tonbridge.
The viewpoint is accessed via a short walk uphill through woodland from the small free parking area. There are a couple of benches at the vista so visitors can sit and enjoy the view.
The deciduous woodland extends a long way beyond the vista, providing opportunities for longer walks to Ightham Mote where there's a National Trust café and toilet facilities.
A good place to see bluebells in late spring, best visited on a bright clear day to fully appreciate the extent of the views."

"I have visited One Tree Hill a few times and although not huge is a beautiful and enchanted woodland to explore. The car park is free and there is an information board a map. There are a couple of huge old Beech trees at tue top of tue hill near the viewing area, perhaps one of them is the namesake of the location."
Feizal Mowlabocus
"This is a lovely small section of woodland with paths that crisscross it and has a stunning viewpoint looking over the local area. Best view is on a clear day! The walk around the outside of the woodland is about 0.9miles and takes about half an hour with a stop at the viewpoint. Paths are normal woodland walking with some uneven ground."
