"A lovely spring walk through the woodland.

Very few people around and the main road is far enough away that you cannot hear it.

The path gets a bit steep at times but definitely worth the walk.

The two main paths are signposted and the map at the car park is accurate.

Definitely worth the visit."

"Historic hillfort surrounded by pleasant woodland.
A mix of deciduous trees, lush greenery and occasional sandstone rock exposures combine to create a lovely atmosphere, ideal for taking a walk on a summer day in the shade of the trees.
Rock shelters exist within the woods. One is fairly accessible, but the more impressive caves take a lot of finding and aren't easy to access.
There's an unsurfaced free parking area at the foot of the hill, from which a network of footpaths lead around the woodland. Occasional openings at the edge of the woodland offer good views of the North Downs."

Andrew Thomas

"National Trusts Oldbury Hill is near Ightham in Kent. There are way marked parks through woodland, some climbs are a little steep but not too challenging. It is the site of an iron age hill fort but to be honest I couldn't find any evidence of it nor could a few other walkers that I asked.
Despite that,it is a nice place to walk with birdsong everywhere and at some points some good views over the Weald of Kent. There is a small car park, space for around 20 cars. There is no charge to park or enter but you will not find any facilities like toilets."
