What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Northumberlandia is widely praised as a unique and beautiful free attraction, perfect for dog walks, family outings, and enjoying nature. Visitors love the impressive land sculpture, the scenic views, and the peaceful woodland walks. Some find the 'Lady' hard to appreciate fully from ground level, and a few mention the weather can impact the experience.
"Do not make the same mistake as I did when I first went. If going with small children or only have time for a short walk, do not climb the two mounds near the entrance (no they are not the lady's breasts and no the views are not the best from there). You are better off walking more towards the centre of Northumberlandia and see the face of the lady, the hands etc and much more spectacular viewpoints (360 degree with the sea / mountains / city etc).
Lovely friendly staff in the café.
Reasonably priced coffee, warm food (soup, scones etc) and cake.
Free attraction with a car park & café with inside and outside seating areas.
Recommended donation £3. Dogs ok on lead.
Definitely worth a visit. The landscape changes all the time depending on time of year also. Currently snow on the Cheviots (?) mountain tops in the distance. Awesome."

"It's hands down the best place in the north east to go watch the sunset. It was a beautifully romantic walk. But can also be a fun family/dog walk as I saw many other people do. On each point there was a quirky bit of information, giving you something to look out for. It really brought art and nature together, what a fantastic idea for a walk."

"It is a lovely place for a dog walk surrounded by nature and wildlife. There's a nice woodland walk before you get to the hills, it was nice and peaceful.
The views are pretty all around, and the dogs enjoyed their walk up and down the hills. There were plenty of different birds around - really lovely to see :)
You can choose an easy wander around or climb up to the top to see the lady. The views from both are worth a visit!
There's a £3 donation money bucket for the car park, and there's a bin in the car park, which is handy."
