"This certainly isn't one of the best beaches I've been to. Depending on which route you take through Presthaven Sands to get to the beach it can take 10-15 minutes to walk there through the dunes especially with children and when carrying buckets and spades etc.
The actual beach itself was nice to walk on but contained a lot of mud only a short depth under the sand. The only really proper sandy areas were much closer to the dunes and I didn't personally see any real rock pools to search for water life so you may prefer to leave nets at home/the caravan."
