"My family and I spent a wonderful day at Millets Wildside during October half term, starting with a pre booked Junior Zookeeper experience, which my daughter and niece absolutely loved. Shaking hands with otters, holding birds of prey and snakes were amongst the highlights , not forgetting petting the super friendly Capybaras!! My husband and I accompanied them for the experience, so it really was a great family day out. The lady zookeeper who led the experience was extremely engaging and knowledgeable, as was the birds of prey expert who also added a fun sense of humour to proceedings 😄 There was also a garden centre, food shop, kids park and good restaurant on site 😀 highly recommended."

"Booked an otter experience for two. I arrived at 10:30 my allocated time, although now being told I supposedly arrived late. We didn't get the full 30 minutes with the otters which was very disappointing. I have been told that it could have been that the keeper needed to do another experience with someone else however there was not 1 single other person visiting when we went for the whole 2hrs we were there. The screen used to keep the otters at a distance was frosted and incredibly dirty therefore you were unable to see the otters properly taking away part of that experience. I was thankful they let my son do it as it was for his 7th birthday and they normally don't do under 10, I had to do it with him for them to allow him to partake which I did. They have responded to my email complaint stating that when I rang I said he was turning 8 - I most definitely did not!!!! They then went on to say that he was scared - he is 7 HE WAS WEARY AT FIRST but then absolutely fine, regardless of if he was scared or not it still does not take away the fact I paid £149.00 to only really see otters paws. I think £149 for the experience we got is disgusting to be honest, I have been on many experiences around the same price and an awful lot better. I travelled an hour and a half for this experience and I MOST DEFINITELY WONT BE RETURNING!
I sent an email complaint and at the end of my email I thought they were incredibly rude! By stating ' if you feel the need to threaten with a bad review, I believe that says more about you than us' NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL!!!!
I appreciate we were able to touch the otter paws and give them some food but for £149.00 I definitely expected better.

"We loved Millets! Booked a reptile experience which included general entry. It’s not very big and quite compact to walk around but has some great things to see and we watched the skunks, Coco and Chanel being fed. They also have flying displays so factoring in that you could spend a couple of hours there, even longer given the whole Millets Farm set up. The half our Reptile Experience we interesting and informative and we held four snakes, who were very lively given it was so hot!"
