What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Fareham Quay and Marina is a charming waterside destination, particularly lauded for its independent coffee shop, Tides, and the welcoming nature of the marina owners. Visitors enjoy the peaceful walks and easy boat access. However, some guests have noted an unfriendly demeanor from the Chandlery staff, which slightly detracts from the otherwise pleasant experience.
"We have berthed our boat at Fareham marina for 4 months initially thinking it would only be for the winter period. Its been so enjoyable having easy access during this time and are now planning to stay and enjoy the summer months. Thank you to Karen and Jason for being so Accommodating and welcoming.

"This marina is home to an absolute gem of a coffee shop — a cozy, independently run spot with great coffee, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear that the café is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, and it’s worth stopping by even if you’re just passing through the area.
Unfortunately, the experience is slightly marred by the woman who runs the Chandlery. Her attitude toward customers is unfriendly, and it’s apparent that she’s unhappy sharing the building with the café. Her approach comes across as unnecessarily authoritative, which detracts from the otherwise relaxed and pleasant environment.
It’s a shame because the location has so much potential, and the coffee shop really elevates the space. Hopefully, there will be some improvement in customer service on the Chandlery side to match the high standard set by the café."

"I have moored my yacht at Fareham Marina for several years and would not move her by choice. Great marina, easy to get in and out of mooring slot, quick access to boat,. Great cafe (Tides) with good range of drinks and food run by nice people,
Marina chandlery has a good range of items for on the go maintenance. The owners, Karen and Jason are great people always willing to help. If the shop doesn’t have it they will quickly order it in for you. Since taking over the marina they have greatly improved the site and continue to do so with a vision for the future.
Highly recommend."
