The well-maintained paths and the convenience of a cafe and toilets at the car park are frequently praised. Some minor drawbacks include the parking charges and the potential for crowds during peak times.
"Great walk, especially for dogs who can be off lead all the way around. The last little climb is steep but worth it for the views at the top. Length of time will depend on your fitness level. It took us an hour and a half to get round the whole trail. Great to have toilets and a cafe that had really lovely treats (cream tea was delicious) including chews for dogs."

Lovely cafe on the car park serving lovely food, cakes and drinks."

"What a great walk we had here with our 2 dogs. Off lead mostly and some becks for them to paddle in. There are 3 'secret' car parks along A591 to avoid charges. Blink and you will miss it.
We did the yellow and red route on same day which is about 3 mile?in total. One of the most memorable walks was along the Douglas fir pinewood it had rained the day before and smelt heavily of pine.A magical walk. Go early for the free parking if you can find it and see less people. There is a cute tea room and loos at the paying car park ( not far from the free one).
Will be back next year to attempt the summit route for sure."
