Reviews Summary

Dumsey Meadow is praised as a beautiful riverside spot perfect for swimming and walks, offering a tranquil escape with grazing cattle. However, visitor experiences can be marred by irresponsible dog owners and careless individuals with ponies, alongside the challenge of limited parking and lack of amenities.

"As others have said, a beautiful spot right by the river where cattle can roam freely. It is though often ruined by some irresponsible dog owners who allow their little darling ‘fur babies’ to roam around off the lead right near to poor cattle grazing and then ‘forget’ to pick after them too! 🐕 😡"

"Lovely spot to swim and chill by the river. Our visit was unfortunately somewhat spoiled by 4 idiots in charge of 4 ponies. These guys decided to rough handle the ponies into the water right next to families with dogs and small babies. Never seen anything so stupid and careless in all my life. The ponies left copious amounts of horse poo right best to the families and in the river literally 3 metres from where small children were swimming. Twice they lost control of the ponies who were allowed to run free around children. They then proceeded to wash the poor horses with dish washing detergent!!! I rest my case."

"Perfect for a swim in the river or walk along the bank. Plenty of easy entry points along the bank and also on the other side of the Thames opposite the meadow. Very popular so getting there early is recommended for sunny days. No amenities other than 2 very limited space car parks. Would be a 5 star if it had more parking."
