"A small Bay connected to the larger Gourock Bay - often confused with each other, Cardwell Bay is the smaller of the two, drying out most low tides. Cardwell Bay is next to Cove Café on Cove Road, nice place to stop. The rest of the water further out, where the yachts are moored is Gourock Bay, this never dries out at low tide and is around 30 meters deep. Splendid Clyde coast views towards the Rosneath peninsula and Loch Long. The land on the other side is geographically the Highlands. If you’re lucky, you might see dolphins or harbour porpoise."
