"We loved our visit to the sanctuary. Thank you Tony, our guide, who was so informative & knowledgeable.
We booked directly online and added the pickup service from our hotel.
The elephants were so obviously relaxed and happy, crossing their legs, calm and slowly walking, and flapping their ears, free to roam whenever and wherever they wanted.
Most of the elephants are over 50 (some over 60) and had horrible lives, so it was so good to see them being cared for.
We had the opportunity to feed them tree branches, sugar cane and make a healthy mixture of rice, banana, tamarind, etc.
We followed two elephants around the jungle and watched one enjoy themselves bathing in the river.
We finished our visit with a cooking class making Pad Thai Noodles.
This is how to experience Asian Elephants the ethical way.
Thank you to a wonderful team doing such a worthy job. Worth every penny.."

"We had a wonderful experience at Khao Lak Elephant Sanctuary! Our guide, Win, was incredibly friendly, kind, and communicative. He shared a lot of interesting information about the elephants, their history, and the sanctuary’s mission – all in an engaging and approachable way.
The elephants are clearly well cared for and appear relaxed and happy. It’s great to see that they can move around freely for the most part, without being forced to perform or work. Their lives are so much better now compared to the past, when elephant riding and logging were still common.
We took the 1-hour tour and were very satisfied with it. It was just the right amount of time to learn, observe, and enjoy being close to the elephants without feeling rushed.
We’d absolutely come back again – highly recommended for anyone who wants to see elephants in an ethical and respectful environment!"

"Tony was waiting to pick us up 5 minutes early from our hotel, and was very kind helping my mum get in and out of the truck. It was lovely to see how they care for the elephants in an ethical manner, and Tony answered every questions we had really well. They are full of knowledge and treat the elephants so gently. It is quite muddy so best to wear closed toe shoes."
