What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Chalong Pier is a vibrant maritime hub, praised for its role as a gateway to stunning islands and its beautiful sunset views. While some find it a bit chaotic with tour operators, many appreciate the affordable island trip options and the pleasant waterfront dining and walking experiences.
"This point is so serene and like a beautiful walk way. You can even just walk on this bridge and look at the ocean and hear the sound of waves. We did the same.
This is a meeting point though from where they take you to other islands by boat. But, you can even just chill here in the afternoons, when it’s empty."

"I stayed near here for 3 weeks in Dec. Great place for an early morning walk or in the evening when it’s cooler. Some nice restaurants too."

"Chalong pier is the place where several boat trips depart, as well as many boats that offer life on board experiences. Many charter boat companies leave their boats at this pier because boarding and disembarking is easy, in addition to all the services that the pier offers such as parking, shuttle bus so you don't have to walk the long pier (you just pay to go, the return is grace). There is a choice of restaurants close to the pier. If you just like looking at the boats, it's a good trip to walk along the pier. a good place for a run because the pier is long. Entrance to the pier is free and overlooks Big Budha. The pier also has an official building with immigration, customs, quarantine and Harbor master services for those arriving in the country by boat. Everything very practical!"
