Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Bang Neow Shrine for its stunning Chinese architecture and the serene, spiritual atmosphere it offers. It's highlighted as a significant cultural site, especially during the Vegetarian Festival, providing a rich glimpse into local traditions. Some visitors note that it can get crowded during peak festival times.

"In a recess from the road there is a beautiful Chinese temple. In front of the temple there is a large, symbolic, sacred, green tree. There are few tourists here and it is quite quiet. The temple structure is a large building, the entrance to which is protected by two half-dragons half-lion, and the pillars are entwined with dragons!

Not far from the main building there is a traditional portal for Chinese temples and a tower for exploding firecrackers, the noise of which is intended to drive away evil spirits.

On the left there is a small altar where incense, candles are brought and prayers are said.

Inside the main room is very interesting - there are a large number of different statues and idols that are worshiped and asked for: health, luck and fulfillment of desires.

It is worth visiting this temple during a trip around the island - it is beautiful and majestic!

"A small but interesting temple that houses both Taoist and Buddhist deities under one roof. It’s a unique blend of traditions and worth a visit if you're in the area. Do remember to remove your shoes before entering the main temple as a sign of respect.

Photography is allowed, but be mindful and respectful when taking pictures. Overall, a peaceful place with cultural significance, great for those interested in spiritual sites."

Deming

"Another important taoist temple at the region. It's decently big and with multiple shrines. Remove shoes before entering and try to make a donation while you are here. Keep noise volume low."
