"The Cultural Heritage Center in Arusha is undoubtedly the largest and most encompassing art theatre in Africa. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you're immersed in a breathtaking celebration of African creativity, history, and diversity.

This iconic center showcases an extraordinary range of talents and cultures from across the continent — from intricate Makonde carvings and vibrant Tanzanian paintings to rare artifacts and contemporary African sculptures. It’s not just a gallery; it’s a living museum, a marketplace of ideas, and a sanctuary for artistic expression.

The architecture itself is stunning, with its majestic dome and expansive layout that invites exploration. Whether you're an art lover, a history enthusiast, or simply curious about Africa’s rich cultural tapestry, the Center offers something unforgettable.

The staff are knowledgeable and passionate, always ready to share stories behind the art and guide you through the experience. And don’t miss the gemstone gallery and the craft shops — they’re a treasure trove of African heritage.

If you're in Arusha, this is an unmissable destination. It’s more than a cultural center — it’s Africa’s artistic heartbeat."

Erastus Njaga

"It's a pretty nice place that has a lot of art pieces from many different artists. There's a nice gallery with lots of nice paintings to see.

Unfortunately, it's pretty much a big tourist trap. All they do is try to get you to buy things. The items here are all pretty expensive compared to what you get in the markets.

The art pieces are very cool though."
