Reviews Summary

Mehrgon Bazaar is praised for its vibrant atmosphere, diverse offerings of fresh produce, dried fruits, and spices, and its unique architecture. Visitors appreciate the friendly vendors and the opportunity to experience local culture. Some find the initial prices high and recommend bargaining, while others note that the smaller buildings are less impressive than the main hall.

"A place with ancient smell and variety of offers. From spices to cheese and from dried fruit to fresh fruit and vegetables. In the second floor you may find souvenirs and traditional items. Prices you will get in the first answers are high, so you have to offer sellers half price. From the 3d floor you can make great photos."

Ibrahim Derbashi

"I was relatively unimpressed as I went to the smaller building at first, and it’s dark and only mildly interesting. But the larger and main building, with its imperial and Doric columns, is so trippy! Having a market bunked in a lavish mall is a bit surreal. Like someone else says, vendors aren’t pushy. Not a ton of variety so wasn’t there long, but one sweet vendor gave me 5 apricots for free!"

Jennifer Smith

"The main market building is typical Soviet era. There are tons of fruit and veg stalls on the ground floor and they are willing to let you have a taste. Next floor are some bric a brac and clothes shops including some Soviet memorabilia and limited souvenirs. Next floor is half empty but there is a great cake shope where you can get a coffee and yummy cakes. Tonthe left of the building is a Jerry-build extension selling homeware etc. worth a couple of hours"
