"2020 update. Below I’ve kept my original review, but I’m giving an update here because it seems that recently the local authority has made more of an effort to treat the area with more respect. It’s cleaner and there are signs up about not dropping litter. The facilities are still basic and too much emphasis is put on big, noisy tour groups, but I haven’t seen so much garbage floating in the water recently. I’ll give them 3 stars now. Most harbours around the world are a bit grungy and smelly. This is no exception. However, the amount of disposable, non-recyclable waste floating in the harbour is quite disgusting. A clean-up would be a good thing. And maybe a nice harbor-view cafe, to bring a bit of beauty into a severely beauty-lacking area..."
