"Really superb museum featuring such rich culture of Yilan. Took a guided tour at 2pm and was treated to an enthusiastic knowledgeable passionate guide who broadened our insight to Yilan’s culture on so many aspects…. Spent 1.5 days here as it was just so much to learn if you really read in-depth the info provided. Interactive exhibits and audio explainations in English, Mandarin or Japanese. Just scan the QR code with your phone! Staff are all friendly too. You can use the lockers for free too! There are over a hundred of them. Small sized ones, can fit small backpack and you can go hands free in comfort!"

"There are 2 kinds of exhibitions. One is the permanent one whereby the entrance is on level 2, you will watch a documentary first before proceeding up to level 4. Then slowly make your way down to level 1. Please note that if you are fully abled.. don't be confused as we actually thought the entrance likely to be on the level 1 and walked over but the staff in a harsh tone asked us "Do you need the lift? If not take the stairs to level 2 and enter from there"
Whereas there is another limited time exhibition which is on whale during my time there."

"It's ok. Text heavy with a significant amount of exhibits missing English. The format of going all the way up to travel down is ok but odd. Gift store is over priced. Beautiful buildings. Some cool geology and history info especially about old Taiwan and the ocean"
