"A worthy stopover if you are in Yilan. Not only they are photo worthy with the visitors, it is near other main attractions too. It is just opposite of the Jimmy's.
The floating train is impressive, and the friend who hosted our stay explained that they have to be detached and removed during typhoon seasons for safety reasons. Because of this, it maybe permanently moved to a new (indoor) location in the future. So, take photos as much as you can now."
Gnip Amoeba
"Quite small. Went on a Saturday evening around 5pm and there wasn't many people. No street stalls around either. Free of charge and just opposite Yilan station so no harm coming over to see see if you are in the area."

The Art of the Floating Train
The concept behind the floating train is to evoke a sense of wonder and fantasy, making visitors feel as though they've stepped into a storybook. The design cleverly uses the existing industrial structure to suspend the train, creating a visually striking and unexpected sight. It's a testament to how art can reimagine everyday spaces and create memorable landmarks.
It's important to note that the future of this outdoor installation is uncertain. Due to safety concerns during typhoon seasons, the floating train may eventually be relocated to an indoor venue. This makes visiting the current outdoor setup a timely opportunity to experience its unique charm and capture memorable photographs.
Photography Opportunities
Beyond the main attraction, the area features additional photo spots designed to enhance the visitor experience. Look out for charming vignettes like a figure seated on a bench and a classic bus stop scene. These elements add narrative depth to your photos and offer more creative possibilities.
For the best photographic results, consider visiting during the late afternoon 'golden hour' when the light is soft and warm, creating a magical ambiance. The train is also quite striking when illuminated at night. To avoid crowds and ensure unobstructed shots, weekdays or off-peak hours are highly recommended.
