Reviews Summary

Mercat de Bonavista offers a truly authentic local market experience, brimming with diverse goods from fresh produce to clothing. While some visitors appreciate the vast selection and bargain potential, others find the prevalence of replica items and the market's non-touristy nature disappointing. It's a place for those seeking a genuine slice of local life rather than a curated tourist attraction.

"Sunday morning trip to the Markets. WOW!! Crazy amount of stalls varying from fruit and veg (which all the locals buy) to underwear, to perfume and suitcases. A lot of the clothing, bags and perfumes are copies, everyone has their own option on that. But the prices are cheap and you can get alot of items for your money. Even if you don't go to buy anything, go for the experience."

BigBear in the Gym

"Huge, loads of stalls of all types. Lots of jewellery and bags, household bits and a particularly good selection of food stuffs at the top of the market. Next to a car park makes it handy if you are driving, there is a bus stop by the entrance to the market, but can be a bit touch and go getting a taxi as there is no rank (they stop on a street corner). And there is a cashpoint straight down the hill from the market. Well worth a morning trip."

Paul Brookes

"Had a morning here, lovely place, a few bargains to be had, some stalls have same items but different prices so worth looking around first. Plenty of fruit and veg, some good food stalls and a couple of cafes on the edge."
