What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning beauty of the Montes de Valsaín pine forests, praising the fresh air and tranquil atmosphere. Many highlight the area's suitability for family outings and its diverse recreational opportunities, from hiking to mountain biking. It's considered a wonderful escape, much less crowded than other parts of the Guadarrama range.
"I present some photos taken during a hike through the Valsain pine forests. The Valsain pine forests, located on the northern slopes of the Guadarrama Mountains, are an idyllic place where hikers will enjoy getting lost on the trails, paths, trails, lanes, shortcuts... of a forest of leafy pines, up to forty meters or more high, nestled in the valleys and hollows. Higher up, the same species of pine grows thicker trunks, shorter heights, and takes on more picturesque shapes. Whether in the valleys or on the heights, a day of hiking is a joy. It's a place I highly recommend visiting and hiking."

"A fantastic pine forest with a variety of leisure options depending on the season. From freeride skiing in winter, where it accumulates a good layer of vegetation, to hiking and mountaineering during the rest of the year. It has water throughout the summer, is rich in flora and fauna, and offers many trails and routes to explore. Highly recommended, and much less crowded than the Madrid side."
