Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of Monte del Agua, particularly its ancient laurel forest and the refreshing, humid air. The peaceful, less-crowded atmosphere is a significant draw, offering a true escape into nature. However, some find the trails challenging, especially on the return, and the unpredictable foggy weather can sometimes obscure the highly anticipated mountain views.
"Walk to the top of this trail to find beautiful views of the mountains with mount teide in the backdrop. Go on a clear day to get the best views."
James Chellew
"Beautiful nature, later a bit of a challenging route. Especially on the way back. Unfortunately mainly foggy, the weather is unpredictable. There and back 12km if you want to see most of it. There are not many tourists, it seems rather deserted and peaceful. A large part of the route is airy and the air is humid and cold. The parking lots are all quite far away. There is no rest area at the end. Only nature."

"Monte del Agua is the most prominent feature of the laurel forest in the Teno Mountains on the Canary Island of Tenerife.
Between approximately 500 and 1300 meters above sea level in the subtropical cloud forest zone, you can hike through the laurel forest on the PR-TF 52 and 54 trails from Erjos in the direction of Los Silos, for example.
Especially in the summer months, this forest offers a refreshing and cooling change from the high daytime temperatures.
One way to reach it by car is via the TF-1 to Santiago del Teide, from there on the TF-82 to the village of Erjos.
This hike to the PR-TF 52 and 54 trails starts at Plaza de Erjos.
Relaxing."
