What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Costa Calma Beach offers a prime beachfront location with multiple pools, appealing to those seeking a relaxing all-inclusive getaway. While many guests enjoy the convenience and friendly atmosphere, some reviews highlight significant concerns regarding hotel cleanliness, food quality, and maintenance, suggesting a need for renovation in certain areas.
"Very well located, friendly staff the room was good and clean, everything working fine. A bit of rubbish around the bar but I don’t think hotel should be blamed because of dirty guests. Always saw the staff working hard and trying to clean everything. Pool has a nice size, and have jacuzzi and sauna as well. The only downside for me was the entertainment team."

"Me and my Boyfriend went to this Resort and i can assure you, we absolutely loved it. The location is so great. In front of the beach, it has bars , a wonderful tasty Restaurant open at Mornings Mid day and Afternoons, nice Night programs and Service. I also must say that the Animation team was so great and nice. You could talk with them easily and not just the programs at the day where nice, but even the Rest of the Guest where always friendly and motivated people who had as much fun as we had. A little bit of everything they had there, for kids and adults. (No spoilers) I can totally recommend it if you just want a relaxing and chill Vacation with your Family. Lots of Love on the service people!"

"This is not a hotel, it’s a disgrace to tourism! Costa Calma is by far the worst place in Fuerteventura, and I honestly don’t understand how it still has any stars. The air conditioning in the room was broken, making it impossible to breathe at night. At reception they are outright rude — every request is treated as if you’re disturbing their lives. They couldn’t even provide a simple fan, basically spitting in the guests’ faces.
Sleeping here is impossible: every morning at 4 a.m. a garbage truck parks outside and makes noise like a construction site under your window. The hotel is filthy, noisy, and the staff are completely careless and unprofessional. There is zero service here — just stress and a ruined vacation. Costa Calma is a shame for the entire hospitality industry. If you respect yourself and value your time, stay far, far away. Honestly, you’d be better off sleeping on the beach than wasting money on this nightmare."

However, guest experiences with the all-inclusive offerings can be varied. While some praise the convenience and the animation team's efforts, others have reported issues with food quality, cleanliness, and maintenance. Common criticisms include repetitive buffet options, a lack of variety for specific dietary needs, and general upkeep of the hotel facilities, with some guests describing the hotel as outdated and in need of renovation. The noise from early morning garbage collection has also been a significant complaint for some guests staying in rooms facing the street.
