"Getxo is used as a cruise port. You can travel to Bilbao from here. It's a nice enough port and has one of the few transporter bridges left in the world."
Joanna “GladysWelsh”
"It's a very nice, upmarket Basque city. Although the restaurants are not the cheapest, you can experience Basque gastronomy here. If you're driving, watch out for speed cameras!"
Alberto MAYNAR AGUILAR
"Stopped here as part of a cruise and couldn't be bothered to travel to Bilbao. Lovely walk from the cruise port along the sea wall followed by walking to town past the marina. Several beautiful mansions to admire along the way before arriving in town and the impressive transporter bridge. Couple of euros to cross or 10 euros to get the lift and walk across the top of the bridge and back, not for the faint hearted!!"

You can take the ferry gondola that shuttles passengers and vehicles across the river, offering a unique and practical way to traverse the estuary. For a more thrilling experience, you can ascend to the top walkway, which is accessible via lifts. Walking across the top provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding industrial landscape, the coastline, and the city of Bilbao.
