What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Euskalduna Conference Centre is lauded for its stunning architecture and its role as a cultural hub, with its grand auditorium receiving high praise for performances. However, visitors frequently note the building's complex and confusing internal layout, which can make navigation a challenge. Despite this, the helpful staff and the unique artistic elements, like the Dalí statue, add to its appeal.
"The Euskalduna Palace, also known as the Euskalduna Conference Center and Concert Hall, is a renowned landmark in Bilbao, Spain. It's a multipurpose complex featuring a concert hall, opera house, and conference facilities.
Here's a quick rundown of the Euskalduna Palace:
* Designed by architects Federico Soriano and Dolores Palacios.
* Opened in February 1999.
* Symbolic of Bilbao's transformation from an industrial center to a cultural hub.
* Houses a 2,164-seat main auditorium for performances like theater, ballet, concerts, and opera.
* Offers facilities for conferences, meetings, and other events.
On the other side of the building there is a small artificial lake that seems to merge with the river and on which there is a statue of Terpsichore Muse of the Dance, made by Salvador Dalí."

"The conference center is large and impressive. The wifi was good, there were plenty of bathrooms and the sound technicians were very helpful.
Unfortunately, it's internal structure is terribly convoluted and confusing (very artistic with deep metaphorical value, I'm sure). Multiple times, we could see our end destination just across from the balcony we were on (on the same level) or just on the other side of some ill-placed glass, but had no way to get there without traversing at least two flights of stairs."
Elre Oldewage
"Attended at conference hosted in this wonderful building. You get lost, in a good way, when you try to maneuver the stairs, elevators, rooms, and other spaces!"
