Reviews Summary
Es Coll Baix is lauded as one of Mallorca's most beautiful, pristine beaches, offering crystal-clear waters and a unique encounter with wild goats. While the hike is challenging and requires proper footwear and supplies, visitors find the secluded natural beauty and tranquility to be an unparalleled reward. Some caution is advised regarding car break-ins at the parking area.
"I hiked to Coll Baix from Platja de Muro which is about 15km and I don't think there is any public transport that takes you there. It was an easy walk, mostly gently uphill but it was enjoyable and I felt safe as a solo female hiker.
The beach and the view at the end was a reward! The water was incredibly beautiful. Once you get to the refuge (signposted) you will have to take a long walk down through the woods towards the beach and then you will have to do some serious scrambling down the rocks. SHOES ARE MANDATORY, please don't attempt in flipflops. The beach is gorgeous, there is no amenities so make sure you have plenty of water with you."

"Really beautiful beach, maybe the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to! There is a small car park nearby (we went in May so not too busy), then going by foot it is a nice walk (with stunning views) through the forest and a steep hike down. The walk down is not too challenging until the very end, when you’re climbing over the rocks. Best to have backpacks and be hands free. The sand is quite dark and gets very hot in the sun so recommend wearing hiking shoes/trainers down and bringing flip flops/sliders for the beach. Some shady spots by the trees and bigger rocks. Because of the intermediate walk down the beach was quite empty, mostly small groups and younger couples. The water is crystal clear and good for snorkelling and some nice rocks with shoals of fish. Lots of cute and friendly goats who will be interested if you have food! There are no food spots or bins so pack accordingly if planning to stay for a while (a few hours at least) and take your rubbish with you!! 10/10 would love to go again!"
