Reviews Summary

Playa de Sant Joan is lauded as a wonderful, out-of-the-way beach with beautiful turquoise waters and a remote feel. Its shallow entry makes it a favorite for families. However, visitors should be prepared for limited facilities and potential parking difficulties.

"Wonderful, out of the way beach spot near the North East corner of the island. About half way between Alcudia and Port de Pollenca. It was overcast the day way went and the water was a bit chilly, early May, but still a great spot regardless. I was told by the locals that it doesn’t get as busy as some of the other beaches during peak season.

The water is beautiful and it is very shallow pretty far out, 30 meters or so. No reef, just some sea weed, but an entirely sand bottom. There were three lifeguards when we were there which was very nice for such a small beach. I spoke to one of the lifeguards and he said that he had never seen any sharks in all the years he’s been there so it is very safe to swim there.

I went for a swim to the buoys, about 250 meters and it was completely clear all the way out. Just be careful with the tide."

"Great little cove with a sandy beach. Although it’s by urbanisation, when on it you cannot see any buildings, giving it a remote feel. Our guests regularly rate this beach as their favourite.
Like it’s neighbour Pere, which is just over the rocks, it can get busy, especially on Sundays."

"Nice small beach - not very touristy"
