"beautiful viewing platform. in the dry season the river here dries up. here you can also have a picnic, rent a gas stove and appliances. there is no store here, so you need to come here with your own food. the road here is good, only the last 200 meters are a bad bumpy road, but you can drive along it in a small car"

"This is really a wonderful lookout spot. Very peaceful. If you don't want to have a picnic at the Tshokwane Rest then you can do so here. Bird watching is amazing here. Observing hippos play and interact is the best part."

"What a great spot. Not a lot of people visiting here so it’s very quiet and quite private. The view is really amazing. Lots of hippos and aquatic birds. There is lots of different animals that is coming in for a drink by the water. We had a great “show” by a pair of Fish Eagles. On the map its shown as a picnic spot so we took our Cadac gas braai and made a very nice brunch there. It was really very special spot and so much wildlife around. Its a must visit."
