What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pretoriuskop Rest Camp is a beloved, affordable option in Kruger National Park, praised for its family-friendly atmosphere and clean, comfortable accommodation. While some guests note its less central location and suggest bringing a broom or bidet, the overall experience is highly recommended for its peaceful ambiance, refreshing pool, and convenient camp store.
"Had a wonderful 2 nights here.
Accomodations were comfy and amenities provided were all in excellent condition.
Tourists would be advised to get a suitable adaptor for their plug points and these are available at their convenience store.
Also, a portable bidet would be prudent as the toilets aren't equipped with any.
Would recommend the management to provide a broom for the rooms as they can get dusty during the day, in between housekeeping visits"

"While I was in the Lowveld as a student, I fell in love with the area and I decided to bring my girlfriend to visit me for a weekend. We decided to book into Pretoriuskop Rest Camp which is situated inside the Kruger National Park. It was a short travel from White River to the Numbi Gate Entrance of the Kruger National Park. From the Numbi Gate is was also a short distance to get to Pretoriuskop Rest Camp. The reception at Pretoriuskop is very professional and seamless. We got to our Chalet and it was clean and spotless. We had a good parking space for our car. We carried our baggage and settled in. That evening we had a meal in the restaurant and it was relaxing and delicious. The camp is quiet and one falls asleep with the sound of wildlife. The next day we took an early morning trip and saw a lot of animals, elephants, zebras, wild dogs, buffalo and giraffes. Later in the afternoon when we returned we went to the swimming pool and it was most refreshing and an impressive view.
Pretoriuskop I will recommend to anyone."

"The rooms were comfortable and clean. We found the swimming pool too late on our last day, but it looked like the perfect place to relax after a day on safari."
