"Beautiful trail but be aware of lose stones and unclear route signs off the main tourist paths to the Valley of Desolation. Make sure you aren't hiking as the sun is about to dip etc. Out and back 1.5km to the trig point takes approx 45 mins to 1hr each way.
Guided drive or private drive a must. A good 30 mins from GR centre.
The park staff are excellent and the view points are spectacular. Kudu, Springbok and ostrich aplenty."
