"Favourite Scenic Route in Cape Town. Breathtaking views along the way, designated areas where you can park your car and take in all the views. A picnic spot further down as you drive. Been visiting for years and it's still so beautiful and perfect to watch the sunset."

"Easily one of the top scenic road in the world. Which is why many car commercials were shot there for decades. Between Cape Town and Cape Peninsula, there is just no other way to go if you want to immerse yourself in the South African delights.
Usually, tourists drive it on the morning to go to Cape Point and go back via Simonstown. You can also do the opposite as the sunsets from Chapmans Peak Drive are just from another planet, especially if you catch a fishing vessel exiting Hout Bay, wow.
There might be some people walking the road to try and grab expensive items from cars and tourist buses, mainly in the morning I guess. Be attentive, lock your doors."

"When the sun starts shining mid July in the heart of winter drop what you’re doing- if you can an and take a slow drive along Chapmans Peak Drive. Stop at the ALL the picnic spots along the route because each one offers a different viewpoint and they are well spaced apart. The rest rooms are in good condition and the individual picnic table areas are too.
You will see the most be are taking views out across the bay - take your shoes off - wiggle your toes on the grass and breathe in deeply and then exhale slowly. This my friends is what living in Cape Town is all about. Highly recommend driving all the way through to Noordhoek and stoping at the Toad for a beer. 🍻"
