Alps. 🤍 The traditional horn brought from Switzerland to Slovenia, transported by mountainbike to a pasture Zajamniki in Slovenia, and played by master Martin on the other side of Alps. Wow! 🤩 Human beings, being smart before smartphones, using only the wood and wind to communicate. 👐 Never boring on tours, thank you Martin and Iris. 🙌 #biketour #alphorn #zajamniki #slovenia #igslovenia #disco...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Zajamniki Pasture, describing it as a magical, picturesque alpine village with stunning mountain views. The traditional wooden huts and the serene atmosphere are major highlights. While driving is possible, many recommend hiking for a more immersive experience. Some note that parking can be challenging due to its popularity.

"Imagine a small mountain village with a stunning view of the Alps—that’s exactly what this place is.

It’s about a 2-hour walk from Hotel Central, and it’s definitely something you shouldn’t miss. The whole trail is very easy, even young kids can do it.

You don’t really need full-on hiking boots, but it’s still better to wear them—you won’t be walking on asphalt, after all. The path goes through forest roads, so proper footwear helps."

"stunned walk to Zajamniki, it takes up and down about 3 hours, no entry fee, cam nature, you can park for free a few metres before entry by army parking, do not park on charged parking, at the end you will be overshelmed by very old village with beautiful view around, best choice from all plains around"

Michal Czako

"1 | Planina Zajamniki is a small alpine pasture settlement in Triglav National Park, featuring a linear cluster of traditional wooden shepherd huts surrounded by rolling meadows and forest.

2 | We hiked to the plateau in about an hour from "Hotel Center Pokljuka", where there is a free parking lot. The lot is relatively large, but it fills up quickly. You can drive all the way to the plateau, but it would ruin the experience.

3 | I highly recommend visiting this magical place to anyone traveling to Slovenia. From the hill above the settlement, there’s a stunning view of the little cottages, with cows wandering between them. You may even catch a glimpse of Triglav or Lake Bohinj.

4 | Interestingly, the cottages still have no electricity, preserving their original charm. The entire area lies within Triglav National Park and is protected.

5 | We visited the plateau in July, when one of the locals was offering fresh milk and homemade cheese. If you’re interested, you can buy some right there."
