"This is absolutely a must-see when you come to Slovenia. It is a truly unbelievable castle, with a very interesting past. I would suggest the package deal available for purchase online. There is some parking nearby, but I will say that these lots are very full. I arrived pretty early and literally got the last spot in the lower lot. After a short steep climb, you will see the castle in full view for some great shots. You can go anywhere on the grounds without having to get a ticket. You only need a ticket to get into the castle - do not miss this truly unique castle. Upon entry, you will be handed an audio guide (handheld type phone) for the castle. As you make your way through the different areas, you will see the audio guide markers. Simply touch your audio guide device to the small marker, and it will auto play the selection - what a great idea. So much history and an amazing merging of the environment and engineering. Do not miss this national treasure. Thanks for the great experience."

"It is a must see if you are around this area. Only thing is if you visited the cave already you will have to pay for parking here again as it is not connected and it is around 10 km distance from the caves.
Really nice and unique castle. A lot of photo opportunities from different angles and perspectives.
It is worth to explore. Around are few restaurants where you can try local food.
