"Nice hill and nature around. Nearby"
Matej
"The settlement of Pekre was first mentioned in 1227. In the past, houses were mostly built of clay and stone, and were covered with straw. Larger farms had many other outbuildings in addition to the house, and almost every one had its own well from which water was drawn. Today, there are almost no old traditional houses left.
South of Pekre Hill there is a coniferous forest on the clay shelf, and towards Hrastje and on the southern slope there are vineyards. To the east of the village rises the solitary Pekre Hill (351 m), which is also known as the Slovenian Calvary. The Church of Mary of Seven Sorrows or the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows dates back to 1835."
