Watch to the end for special guests 🐬🥹 A trip to the waterfall at the cliffs of Maro near Nerja (Málaga province) had been on my bucket list for a while, and it did not disappoint! The icing on the cake was being accompanied part of the way there by a pod of playful dolphins. MY HEART. This was a boat trip with optional paddle boarding/snorkelling run by Educare Aventura. The boat departs from th...

Reviews Summary

Martuljek Waterfalls are praised for their stunning natural beauty, dramatic gorge, and clear turquoise waters, offering a less crowded alternative to other Slovenian attractions. While the hike is generally manageable, some find the parking challenging and advise caution regarding falling rocks. Reddit

"Not as overrun as Peričnik, but a beautiful waterfall with an easy path suitable even for small children. Stunning nature all around, no big crowds. A great tip for a trip."

Láďa Šedý

"Parking is easy if it’s not crowded, but it wasn’t for us in mid-August. There are many parking spaces next to the Triangel Hotel. From the parking you follow an asphalt cycle path for a few hundred metres, then turn left onto a forest trail. The walk is pleasant and leads quickly to the first waterfall, the Lower Martuljek waterfall in about 20 minutes. Don’t stop there: cross the small bridge, turn right, and follow the path along the cliff through the gorge. The views are amazing and reminded me a little of parts of Zion National Park. The trail follows the Martuljek river and becomes a bit steeper near the end, which is the section that leads to the second bridge overlooking the large waterfall (not a climb up to the second waterfall). . It is totally doable with a dog, but for safety keep your dog on a leash on the final section. If you take your time and enjoy the views, the whole trip can be done in under two hours. A very peaceful walk."
