Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the absolutely breathtaking views at Jebel Fihrayn, describing it as a truly magical and unforgettable natural wonder. The dramatic cliffs and vast desert panoramas are consistently highlighted as major draws. However, the challenging off-road access and the need for a suitable vehicle are frequently mentioned as significant considerations.

"The views are absolutely breathtaking. This place is very unknown amongst people in Saudi Arabia. When looking at the edge of the plateau the drop must be around 2000 ft. To get there it’s a 1 hour excursion in the desert where you NEED a jeep wrangler or something of that capacity or your car will be destroyed. I went in the early morning so I did not feel any of the heat and on-top of that there was always a strong cold breeze. I highly recommend to anyone in the area or who is remotely close to this location."

Rami Rahman

"The “Edge of the World,” locally known as Jebel Fihrayn, is a dramatic geological escarpment located about 90 kilometers from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It takes almost 3 hours to reach from Riyadh (including more than a hour through the desert)

We approached it through a desert area, the road access is not that developed and one requires a 4 wheel drive car with experienced driver to reach near the destination. There were police personnel to restrict the entry of vehicles after certain points almost a km ahead of the edge of the world point.

One need to be very careful while walking since the surface is slippery due to the gravel surfaces and also steep cliffs and heavy winds .

Rising abruptly from the desert, the site forms part of the Escarpment, an ancient limestone ridge that stretches for hundreds of kilometers across the Arabian Peninsula.
The cliffs drop sharply to the plains below, creating the striking illusion of standing at the very end of the world, with endless desert horizons stretching into infinity.

This is natural wonder and has become a favorite destination for hikers, adventurers, and photographers. The journey involves a rugged drive across desert tracks, followed by short treks to reach the important points along the cliff.
From the summit, we can have panoramic views, especially breathtaking at sunrise and sunset when golden light enhances the stark beauty of the rocks and sands.

Though increasingly popular, the Edge of the World remains relatively undeveloped, so travelers must take safety precautions, carry adequate water, and ideally visit with guides or experienced groups."

"What a great place—truly a wonder!
As they say, it’s really the edge of the world.

After parking your vehicle, a 10-minute walk brings you to a magical view that will leave you speechless. I stood there for a few seconds, just taking in the beauty. It’s absolutely breathtaking and a must-visit!

You can drive there with your own car; a 4x4 isn’t necessary, but a high-clearance vehicle is recommended. The last 23 km is an off-road track and takes over an hour to drive—but trust me, it’s totally worth it!

Try to reach there between 4:30 and 5:00 PM so you don’t miss the stunning sunset—it’s truly a sight to remember"
