"A must visit even if you're not into porcelain. Large collection of pieces produced by the Imperial Porcelain Factory over the years are on display. The level of detail and the skill needed to produce these art pieces will leave you in admiration. And to finish the visit, the factory shop downstairs is also great for picking up a souvenir, with some items going for less than ₽1000 to others that wouldn't feel out of place even if they were on display in the museum. Also if you bought a ticket for the State Hermitage Museum (aka Winter Palace) admission is included for the same day."

"I came to visit on the 21st March. Website said it was open from 1200 so I arrived at 1400. Nobody on the cash desk and a sign saying lunch break until 1500. I went for a walk, came back at 1500 and was told I couldn’t enter because it was closed for a cleaning break until 1600. Pretty poor service and unhelpful employees working there."

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make the most of it with younger visitors, focus on the most visually striking items and keep the visit relatively short. The factory shop downstairs also offers a chance to see more contemporary designs and perhaps find a small, affordable souvenir that the kids can choose themselves. Remember to check the opening hours carefully to avoid unexpected closures that could disrupt a family's schedule.
