What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Khimki Bridge is primarily a functional road overpass with challenging pedestrian access. While the bridge itself offers little for walkers, the surrounding Khimki Reservoir and Moscow Canal provide beautiful scenic views, and the adjacent Chemical Forest is ideal for outdoor activities.
"The opening date of the first bridge is November 1962. The total length is 228 m, the width is 24 m, the height is 13.8."

"The bridge offers a beautiful view of the Khimki Reservoir.
Walking under the bridge is quite difficult, especially if you're carrying a stroller or something bulky. If you're using the bridge on foot, it's a terrible place, as the pedestrian area is always dirty and covered in plastic shards. To get onto the bridge, you have to climb a path, meaning there are no steps, much less a ramp. Pedestrians will suffer as they ascend, descend, and walk across and under the bridge!"

"There is nothing special about the Khimki Highway Bridge. A grey road surface on piles. But the views from the bridge onto the Moscow Canal are magnificent. If you walk along the embankment from the Arena-Khimki side, then shortly before the bridge, the sidewalk ends and a wild zone begins. It is better to walk along the equipped embankment, there are benches for rest, a children's and sports grounds, as well as gazebos. The Khimki Bridge is very functional, in the sense that it connects two sides of the Moscow Ring Road. It is often confused with the Leningradsky Bridge, which connects two sides of the Leningradskoye Highway."
